Scholarly Works
Archival Capstone: Crowdsourcing, Zooniverse, and Archives
This paper was written as one of the final components of my Archives and Special Collections Certificate. I enjoyed exploring the scholarly literature regarding the Zooniverse platform, which I have been a member of for several years. It was interesting to review the variety of projects that have been conducted on crowdsourcing platforms and how the concept has evolved over time. Since my goal is to become an archivist, it is important that I have a grasp of the tools that are at my disposal.

Service-Learning Partnership Website
This website collects some basic information about the service-learning project I completed with WGBH in the Fall of 2025. I worked with WGBH to perform a copyright review of digitized media so that it could be uploaded to the American Archive of Public Broadcasting's Online Reading Room. The digitized content comes from Public Broadcasting Stations across the United States. Through this experience, I gained a greater understanding of content management systems and the importance of digital preservation by archives. I am grateful for the opportunity to help make these recordings available to the public like never before.

Digital Archive: Snapshot Archive
As part of Intro to Archival Theory and Practice, we were asked to create a digital archive of something that we found interesting. I chose to document some of the vintage photographs I've collected over the years. In the following semester, I was assigned to expand the archive with contributions from two other classmates. I enjoyed collaborating with my classmates and getting to archive a collection of my own. This project offered a unique opportunity for students to curate their own digital collection and practice implementing elements of archival theory.

Library History Paper: Zines and Zine Libraries
This paper was intended to be a review of a portion of library history that was of interest to us. I learned a lot about conducting scholarly research from this paper, and continued to familiarize myself with APA formatting. This paper also helps to demonstrate the importance of archiving zines and presents the challenges involved in making their content accessible to the public. It is interesting to look back on this paper and see how my writing and research have progressed.

Weeding Exercise
For my weeding exercise, I obtained data from the Upper Dublin Public Library and simulated the weeding of their Young Adult Nonfiction collection. I enjoyed having the opportunity to work with real data from a local library and learn more about collection development and management. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to meet one of the lead librarians and talk with her about the process weeding and library operations in general. From this assignment, I gained a better perspective on the realities of working in a library and all of the activities that go on behind the scenes.
